Katie C. Lewis, Ph.D.
Director of Research
Katie C. Lewis, PhD, is the Director of Research at the Austen Riggs Center and a licensed clinical psychologist with a focus on personality dynamics and suicidality. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University and has received specialized training through a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Lewis's research interests include the role of interpersonal behaviors, personality processes, and psychological pain in mental health, particularly in relation to suicide risk. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Personality Assessment and the American Psychoanalytic Association.
Janina Fisher, Ph.D
Clinical Psychologist
Janina Fisher, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, founder of Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), advisory board member of the Trauma Research Foundation, and a former instructor at Harvard Medical School. An internationally recognized author and lecturer on trauma treatment, she has co-authored groundbreaking work with Pat Ogden and is widely sought after for her expertise in the field.

Executive and Leadership Coach
Betsy is a seasoned Leadership Coach and Professional Development Trainer with extensive experience across state government, healthcare, life sciences, corporate, and non-profit sectors. Known for her personal brand of Respect and Regard, she’s built a reputation for fostering Effectiveness, Inclusiveness, and Development in every interaction. Her passion for empowering leaders and teams began at Harvard University’s School of Medicine, where a chance project sparked her interest in elevating presence and impact. Betsy’s expertise spans both coasts and beyond, blending empathy, compassion, and continuous learning to help individuals grow and succeed in diverse work environments.
Daniel R. Lambert, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist
Daniel R. Lambert, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience in public sector mental health. He has held leadership roles at Westborough State Hospital and Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, where he focused on developing recovery-oriented, evidence-based clinical practices. Dr. Lambert is known for his work in risk assessment, program development, and mentoring clinical leaders within DMH. He currently consults with DMH on policy implementation and risk mitigation strategies.
